I think the Japanese version of the "Get A Mac" ad was first aired in the Japanese TV on last Saturday at around 10 pm Japan Time.
I was a bit surprised, not only because "Get A Mac" is in Japanese, but also because Apple has chosen the right man to do the Ad, the Rahmen!!
I love Rahmen's way of making spoof.
I quickly posted the ad, and of course the famous Rahmen spoof on Japanese in Sushi in my blog (http://macfordummy.blogspot.com).

No. A car that gets 50mpg is likely much lighter than a car that gets 8mpgs... and hence doesn't put near as much wear on the road
Consider, if all cars were the size of a Smart ForTwo, or the awaited ForFour, a two lane road could become 3 lanes. ;)
Trucks and Hummers would just drive down the middle. :D

It seems one of the best features is the upgrade price for existing customers. Free. This makes all of the upgrades even better, since they are free. Apple has really eliminated the possibility for pundits to bash the new version, since it is free for existing users. It is an amazing upgrade.

I think what we are all seeing is that the differentiating factor between Apple and "the others" is no longer software. Windows 7 is now good enough that it can easily compete with (and in many areas, exceed) the software offering on any Mac.
It's now down to hardware manufacturers to do the work to bring their machines up to a standard to match the OS. From what I've seen Dell have been making significant improvements in recent months and years and Lenovo still exudes quality.
Three or four years ago I wouldn't have considered anything that wasn't made by Apple. But now I'd definitely look at a Windows machine first when replacing my desktop and I'd give some Windows laptops a lot of consideration as well.
Unless I went iMac I would never go Apple for a desktop. I think Windows is better than OS X unless taking into account the benefits of a MBP+OS X in terms of power management/trackpad. Add the cost of a MP and forget it. Laptops they still have the best balance between design, specs, and quality as well as nice battery life in OS X.

The person who asked you how much ram you meant was referring to your video card ram not your system ram. I think that that GPU only has 128MBs of VRAM but am not 100% sure off the top of my head. but it is an older GPU you will probably have no problems running it on low but don't expect to run it on anything higher if your lucky you might be able to run at med settings depending on what res you run at. VRam is not as important as most people think it is. The processing power of the GPU itself is much more important.
Ya its the 128MB model. I mentioned that in my first post. And I totally agree with you on the processing power being most important. I know that X1600 chipset was already a couple years old in 2007 when my MBP was new, so by now I figure its pretty close to being on the edge.
Also, for those of you who got your beta key from Blizzard, how did they send it to you?

IBoth methods have drawbacks: "Not always available" vs. "Not always current."
Given that I've never had a problem with availability, I'm actually interested in an app that promises to stay current without my having to download maps manually ahead of time.
I wonder why the 2 plans have to be mutually exclusive. Why not download the whole database when you get it, for when you might not get coverage. And then automatically update when you do have coverage. When going somewhere, give priority updating to the current route and then download everything else. Maybe allow current route to be updated with EDGE/3G while whole database updates require Wi-Fi. Just my 2�

This is the primary design flaw with the iPad. This tablet can't be the normal person's computer unless every normal person has a tech friend/relative to keep the tablet working/updated. So while Woz is correct that the tablet will be the normal person's computer, Apple's iPad is not yet that tablet.
