I think a lof people have the LUD is 08/05/07 for 140 filed in TSC..and everyone takes their guesses. Please post if u r LUD for 140 is 08/05/2007 ;

I have not informed uscis about the change although I updated my address in their website. As regards AC 21, if I am ready to file it my current employer said they will be ready to support it but I haven't started that process yet.
Ajay, did you receive 3 years of H1 extension? I am in my 5th year of initial H1B. wondering if I will receive 3 years extension when I file for H1B transfer with an approved 140. I am changing jobs using AC21 to join a new employer.
Let me know your exp. Did you also get new I-94 attached with H1B ext approval notice?

I was able to apply without any hassle at all. I took all my documents, but only needed passport, driver's license and EAD as proof.

Recently I filed FOIA for the complete set of documents on my I-485, becaz my employer didnt share any documents with me.
Now I got my I-140 application and Receipt Notice and all the documents submitted for I-485, but there is no I-140 approval notice, is anyone out there filed FOIA just to get the I-140 approval notice? or should I file I-824 to get the I-140 approval notice?

Can some one interpret the law whether unused visa will be spilled to oversubscribed countries?
Current law EB-2 and EB-3 only 40,000 visas for EB-2 and EB-3 out of 7% goes to each country 2800 visas for each country.

My mom's a Gynecologist. She got her MBBS and MS from India in 1978. She has been working in India since then.
How can she start practicing in the United States? I have absolutely NO idea. I have heard about the USMLE Exam, but is it necessary for a person with 25+ years of experience? Will she have to do her medical-residency AGAIN?
Please advise.
Yes, I guess it is absolutely necessary to pass the different stages of USMLE and then do residency and based on what speciality one gets in to,irrespective of what background is. Usually OB/Gyn takes upto 5-6 yrs..down the lane. Please google up USMLE and medical practice in US, you will find more answers.

Now there are 3 possibilities for "alien receipt number" that is supposed
to be written behind my photos to be included with I-485:
-1- the filed i-140 receipt number
-2- a number that appears in i-140 approved letter
-3- the A# from my F1-OPT-EAD (this is called "alien registration number for sure")
Any more clarifications on which one of the above three is actually "alien receipt number"?

Hi,
Have a query in regard to the H1B Visa status. Would it be ok to work for a different branch of the same company, when my unit is not able to provide me with the required number of hours/week. I work for a hospital as a physcial therapist, and am having trouble maintaining the full time hrs, Other units of the same hospital are desperately in need of the therapists.(But working for them would be under different tax id and also would be a seperate pay check, but the same hospital though).
Any answers would be highly appreciated.

We are apply independently since both of us are in H1B status
I presume that this marriage in foreign country may not be valid because the marriage was neither registered in India nor done according to Foreign Marriage Act, 1969, since both of us are citizen of India at this present time.
However; we are working out with our parents to get married and register in India, but unsure when this will happen.

Also, if getting married is important to you, your partner, and you are sure about your relationship, and if you guys are getting it done in India anyways, why not get a court marriage here ASAP before filing for your I-485.
From a GC perspective, it "might" be better to have one I-485 application with spouse as the beneficiary rather than pursuing two I-485s independently.

Great point.. core team should develop a strategy and share it with entire group as to how they are working towards getting these ammendments in and whom are they approaching ....

It would be ten times better if you would personally call them or meet them personally and get answers for your questions :) Does that sound reasonable?? Many of our american disilusioned brothers/sisters are visiting our site periodically/regularly to see what we are upto. They think their salaries will rise once H1b visas are eliminated. "How Sad". Anyway, as I said call or meet with the core group personally and get your answers, OK. Rest of us dont want them posting any such information on this site.
